Fun With France

Ah, the holiday season in Paris, the City of Lights. In just the past week, France is where it’s at in Buzz, with a new skating rink in the Eiffel Tower, the redesign of Paris’ Les Halles district, and the opening of the world’s tallest bridge in Millau. Due to the exorbitant exchange rate with the euro, people have resorted to virtual hops across the pond. Searches on the Eiffel Tower were up almost 12% on the skating rink news, with most of the searches coming from kids and their parents. Searches on Paris in general were up 80%, but something makes us think those folks were looking for that other Paris. That said, those hunting for the city were in luck, as searches on Paris, France, were up 22%. Millau’s architectural wonder, which is 50+ feet taller than the Eiffel Tower, elevated searches on “Millau Bridge” and “Millau Viaduct” to staggering heights.
